Description from inside flap: This book is based on the 20th Century Fox photoplay of the same name. The first half of the book is given to a stirring novelization based upon the picture "The Country Doctor" - The story of Dr. Luke's life, his battles with epidemics which swept through the wilderness, his struggle to secure a hospital from that far-away outpost of civilization, his wise counsel which helped to straighten out a tangled love-affair, his gallant fight to save the lives of five little babies prematurely born into a crowded four-room home. It is an exciting tale. The book ends with many adorable pictures of the "quins" themselves as they scampered about or played or bathed or cooed before the camera's eye.

The second half of the book is given over completely to the real story of The five little Dionnes and how they grew. There are upward of one hundred pictures of them, their home, their hospital, their doctor, their nurses, their playthings. Here is the actual account of their birth, their growth and development, the story of their parents, of the countryside in which they are growing up, what they eat, what they wear - in fact, all of the absorbing facts in the lives of these famous babies, from their birth in 1934, right to the present moment (1936).
