POLAND'S PAMPERED QUINTS HAVE NO SHOE PROBLEMS
The most pampered children in Poland are a set of quintuplets - three boys and two girls - born to Bronislaw and Laokadia Rychert. The quints, premature when they were born on May 12, 1971 in Pruszcz Gdanski, have thrived on attention and grown into healthy children. The Rychert quints have been the subject of frequent television programs and documentary films are made about them every three months to show how they are developing. Recently a government-run shoe factory presented each of them with a new pair of shoes and promised to keep them supplied with shoes until they reach their 18th birthday. Their mother and grandmother have both been given a three-year paid vacation by the government to take care of them. Their dad is an enlisted man in the Polish Army.
